Wishing well wording

WISHING WELL POEMS: 1
If you were thinking of giving a gift, to help us on our way.
A gift of cash towards our house, would really make our day.
However, if you prefer to purchase a gift, feel free to surprise us in your own way.
WISHING WELL POEMS: 4
If you are having trouble finding just the gift for us,
This may prove a solution with a minimum of fuss.
Just pop your gift inside the flower and pin it to our tree,
And make a wish for happiness forever ours to be.
WISHING WELL POEMS: 5
We made a commitment some time ago
that together through life we were destined to go.
We purchased our furniture, linen and bedding,
in the fulfilling years leading up to our wedding.
What else we might need is not easy to foresee,
but what might help us in the future is a deposit on our Giving Tree.
WISHING WELL POEMS: 6
Love the joy of choosing gifts?
Wrap the chosen captive?
If thoughts elude in this regard
… money is attractive!
WISHING WELL POEMS: 7
A wishing-well will await
to help build loving nest…
If instead a gift would buy,
ask our Mums – they know best
and details that can end your quest!
WISHING WELL POEMS: 8
We haven’t got a gift list, for all of you to see,
Because as you all know we never can agree!
But if you’d like to help us, start our married life,
cash or high street vouchers, would save a lot of strife.
WISHING WELL POEMS: 9
If you were thinking of giving a gift
to help us on our way,
a gift of cash towards our house,
would really make our day.
However, if you prefer to purchase a gift,
feel free to surprise us in your own way.
WISHING WELL POEMS: 10
Many of our guests have enquired
for a gift idea to be inspired.
Like many young couples today,
we have a lot of things anyway.
If you would like to give, it is our request,
for something for our treasure chest.
A gift of money you can afford,
is just what we need, you can be assured!
Without the help of this little pun,
our honeymoon might not be as much fun.
WISHING WELL POEMS: 11
Now we are to be Mr & Mrs
We don’t need a wedding list of dishes.
A holiday is what we need,
so your help with this would be a great gift indeed.
So should you wish to honour us with a gift,
we have registered a honeymoon registry
at Flight Centre where you can make a contribution
to help us make a honeymoon
a memory that will last a lifetime.
WISHING WELL POEMS: 12
Soon you will hear our wedding bells,
as Friends and family wish us well.
Our household treasures are not brand new,
we have twice the things we need for two.
Since we have our share of dishes and bedding,
we’re having instead a wishing well wedding.
But more important we ask of you,
your prayers of love and blessings too.
WISHING WELL POEMS: 13
Over the years, we have collected
Most of the things, with a house connected
Cutlery and crockery, by the score
And of towels, we need no more.
But if you wish, a little help would be great
With some special things, more ornate.
A wishing well, at our reception will be kept
Your gracious gift, to accept.
So if you like, no need to shop.
WISHING WELL POEMS: 14
To save you looking, shopping or buying.
Here is an idea, we hope you like trying.
Come to our wedding, to wish us both well.
And bring this small sack, to throw in our wishing well.
Fill it with paper all colours will do,
gold is our favourite but silver will do.
Now that we have saved you, all of that fuss.
We hope you will come, and celebrate with us.
WISHING WELL POEMS: 15
So what do you get for the Bride and Groom
Whose house needs things In every room?
When shopping for a present please, don’t be rash
As the option is there to just give cash.
We hope that you don’t find our request to be funny
But the decision is yours to buy a present or give money.
Now you have the choice please do not fuss.
The most important thing of all
Is that you come and celebrate with us!
WISHING WELL POEMS: 16
Your presence at our wedding is present enough.
But if we’re honoured with a gift from you
May we respectfully request a gift of money
To help the building of our dream home come true!
WISHING WELL POEMS: 17
Our two families have come together as one.
We really hope you can join in the fun.
A wishing well we thought would be great,
but only if you wish to participate.
A gift of money is placed in the well,
then make a special wish, but do not tell!
Please do not be offended by our request,
as our day is complete having you as a guest.
WISHING WELL POEMS: 18
Just one last request, and we hope it’s not hard
Please bring baby a book in place of a card
By signing your book, we will remember and share
Your special gift, even when you’re not there!
WISHING WELL POEMS: 19
If you would like to bring a card
Consider this instead,
Your favourite childhood storybook
To read to baby in bed.
Please be sure to include your name
And lots of wishes too!
In years to come when reading the book
We’ll know it was given by you!
WISHING WELL POEMS: 20
I want to be a bright child
As smart as I can be.
That is why I`m hoping
My mom will read to me.
WISHING WELL POEMS: 21
From Peter Rabbit to Mother Goose
Goodnight Moon and Dr Seuss
Curious George and Winnie the Pooh
Eloise and Babar too
In lieu of a Wishing Well, please bring
your favourite childhood classic
Lets build a library for Baby
that will be fantastic
WISHING WELL POEMS: 22
A tisket, a tasket,
something small for baby’s basket!
From the top of her head,
to the tip of her toes,
baby products are needed,
everyone knows.
Shampoo, diapers, teething rings,
and for in-between,
baby wipes, and q-tips,
to keep baby clean.
If you could provide an item like these,
our parents to be sure would be pleased.
No need to wrap it, your name don’t tell.
It’s just a little contribution to our Wishing Well.
WISHING WELL POEMS: 23
If finding a gift is hard to do
Our wishing well is just for you
A gift of money is placed in the well
Then make a wish but do not tell
If it is, however, a gift you find
Please feel assure, we will not mind
WISHING WELL POEMS: 24
In our house we have the things
that living together normally brings
most household items we’ve already bought
And because of this reason
we thought a wishing well would be great
Only if guests wish to participate
A gift of money is placed in an envelope
So in the future we hope
to furnish our home to its very best
And always remember it was due to our guests.
WISHING WELL POEMS: 25
We don’t want to offend but we have it all
All household goods and so much more
To save you shopping, sit back, and rest
A gift of currency is our request
WISHING WELL POEMS: 26
We’ve ben together for sometime and have accumulated a lot of stuff.
Pots and pans we already have, toasters and towels as well.
The perfect gift we could receive is money in our Wishing Well.
If however, it is a gift you find, please fel assured we would not mind.
WISHING WELL POEMS: 27
If finding a gift is hard to do
our wishing well is just for you!
A gift of money is placed in the well,
then make a wish but do not tell!
If it is however a gift you find,
please feel assured
we will not mind.
WISHING WELL POEMS: 28
We hope that you will join us on our special day
To celebrate our marriage in a a very special way
To make it easy for you and avoid a shopping spree
We thought that we would have instead a little money tree
Because we’ve been together for a little while now
We collected our household things before taking our vows
So please don’t be offended at our particular request
as this way we can choose the gift that will benefit us the best
WISHING WELL POEMS: 29
We are trying to grow a money tree
A difficult task you would agree
But it’s something that we really need
Perhaps you would care to plant a seed.
WISHING WELL POEMS: 30
These two love birds have it all
family, friends and so much more.
If a gift you intend to help their nest
and you need some assistance, may we suggest
a donation in their little bird cage
to assist them along on their next life stage.
Envelopes will be left in the reception room
to bestow a gift upon the Bride and Groom.
WISHING WELL POEMS: 31
To support us on our special day
you may wish to follow with tradition and bring a gift.
Or alternatively you may like to help us
make our honeymoon a little more special.
For this reason we have chosen a wedding treasure chest.
The treasure chest will be at the reception
where we can receive your best wishes and contribution.
WISHING WELL POEMS: 32
Diapers, bottles, clothes galore
we have some but still need more.
If you could pitch-in to help with these,
The parents-to-be would sure be pleased.
With your donation, your name please don’t tell,
it’s just a little contribution to our wishing well.
WISHING WELL POEMS: 34
Boo Boo Bunny is here today,
To help your boo boo go away.
This funny, fuzzy, furry friend,
Will cool the hurt to help it end.
She’ll make the ouch go bye-bye fast,
So hold her until the pain has passed.
And when the boo-boo is all through,
She’ll still be here to play with you.
WISHING WELL POEMS: 35
A brand new little baby
Needs blessings from above.
And lots and lots of pennies
To fill baby’s bank – with love.
Babies are God’s precious gifts
Given to warm our heart.
Let’s fill baby’s piggy bank
To give baby a wonderful start!
WISHING WELL POEMS: 36
More than just kisses so far we’ve shared
Our home has been made with love and care
Most things we need we’ve already got
Like a toaster and kettle, pans and pots
A wishing well we thought would be great
(but only if you wish to participate )
A gift of money is placed in a well
Then make a wish…but do not tell
Once we’ve replaced the old with the new
We can look back and say it was all thanks to you!
And in return for your kindness we’re sure
that one day soon you’ll get what you wished for!
WISHING WELL POEMS: 37
Like little birds who built their home with care
we have every stick and every little chair
We have each other and that’s the best
But should you wish to honour us with a gift
Just pop it in our nest!
